Stunning views from a cosy terrace
Located in the city of Grasse, Villa Sunrise offers a terrace with views of the old town, the valley, the bay of Cannes, and the Mediterranean Sea. It's only a four-minute walk to the town center, where you can find shops, restaurants, several bakeries, a butcher, perfume stores, and museums. You can reach it by local bus from Nice airport, and it's also close to Cannes, Antibes, and many other attractions in Provence
Get to know the house
Bedroom with a view
This room comes with a stunning view of the valley. There is a doublebed, drawers and a closet with hangers. In the closet in this room you can also find towels and sheets.
The white door is our private storage.
Pink bedroom
From this room you can see all the way to Cannes Bay. There are drawers at your disposal. In here you also find games, pens and paper. The AC is stored in here.
Kitchen & livingroom
The kitchen is newly renovated with oven and stove top from 2023. The Sunrise plate is original from the 1950s. It used to hang on the gate.
The couch is convertible and sleeps two.
Please note that there's no dining table inside (but two tables on the terrace).
Bathroom
Totally renovated in 2022.
Studio
Totally renovated in 2022, the studio sleeps four people if you will. There is a bunkbed with the size of a double bed.
This room is situated outside of the house with its own entrance, and you must not be afraid to climb stairs if you stay in it.

The perfume capital of the world
Grasse is a picturesque city with around 50,000 inhabitants located in Alpes-Maritimes in southeastern France. It's often called the perfume capital of the world and has been known for its perfume industry since the end of the 18th century. In the surrounding area of the city, there are large fruit and flower plantations from which the oils are sourced that form the basis of the French perfume industry.
The house on the hill
Villa Sunrise was built in 1900. In the 1970s, the baker who lived there divided the house in half and gave one half to each of his children. We own the lower floor, terrace, and 700 square meters of the garden. The upper floor is owned by a friendly young French couple. We have our own entrance to both the garden and the house, and there is a fence between our properties, so we don't share anything with our neighbors, but we do say hello and chat when we see each other.

Stretching Beaches
Miles of beaches extend to both the west and east. White sand and warm sea. It takes about 20 minutes by car from Villa Sunrise and the same by train. By bus, it takes about an hour.
Glamorous Cannes
Take a bus or train to Cannes, stroll along the Croisette, shop expensively on the main street or cheaply on the street behind it. Have a drink at a beach restaurant or play in the playground nearby. Have a picnic on the beach. Cannes is a perfectly sized small town with lots of experiences.
Discover Le Loup
A river located half an hour's bus ride from the house. Here you can hike along the rushing water, swim in crystal clear water, and have a picnic on warm rocks.
Swim in Lac de Cassien
A warm lake with sandy beaches and blue water. It is about a half-hour drive from the house. There are secluded beaches as well as the opportunity to rent pedal boats and dine at restaurants.
Getting here and around
• Fly to Nice. To the house, take the local bus from the airport, which costs 1.50 euros.
• Take the train from Paris or other destinations. The train ride along the coast is amazing. The train from Cannes to Grasse takes 21 minutes.
• To Nice, Cannes, Antibes, and other fun places, take the train or bus. The train costs 15 euros for the whole family, and the bus costs 1.50 euros per person.
Our family
We are Fredrik, Desirée, Sixten, Signe, and Axel. We bought the apartment in Grasse in the middle of the pandemic. It was rundown and needed filler, paint, and care. We have given that and loved it. We really adore this place, especially all the hours on the terrace with views of valleys, mountains, and the sea. But we are not always there, that's why we have decided to have houseguests.
There are two bedrooms with double beds, a sofa bed for two, and a studio that can accommodate a few more (the children's favorite). Newly renovated bathroom and newly fixed kitchen. No car is needed either, which is so good! Fly to Nice and a local bus from there, all the way to the house. Easy to get to Cannes, Antibes, Nice, and around a bit everywhere. Welcome! 🌸
Prices
Off season is just as lovely as high season, we really recommend it! And it's cheaper to travel at that time.

Cancellation policy
Cancel free of charge within two weeks after the booking date. To confirm the booking, 20% of the amount is paid no later than 7 days after the booking date. The rest is paid 30 days before arrival. If cancelled up to 14 days before arrival, 90% of the amount will be refunded. Thereafter, 50%. In case of cancellation within one day before arrival, the full amount will be charged.
